Design Features

Meets Military/Commercial Requirements

Coupling design conforms to all applicable military and commercial specification requirements for flexible fuel or air couplings intended for service at pressures of 125 PSIG (operating), 250 PSIG (proof) and 375 PSIG (burst) and temperature from -65° to +300°F.

Flexible

Axial motion and angular flexibility are defined by dimension "D". As much as ±5° angular flexibility is provided at a minimum gap of .08 inches.

Product Notes

1. Bonding spring, coupling flanges and seals are not furnished with these assemblies and for clarity are shown in phantom outline. Seal material is selected and seals are separately procured by user. For additional information see notes 1 and 2 under "Ordering Information".
2. The 11C03-(SIZE) Coupler material is 2024-T851 aluminum alloy or equivalent, anodized with dichromate seal with I.D. solid film lubricated.
3. The 11N03-(SIZE) Nut assembly material is 2024-T851 aluminum alloy or equivalent, anodized black and solid film lubricated. Bracket and Rivets: 300 series CRES, passivated. Spring: 17-7 PH CRES, passivated.
4. The 11R03-(SIZE) Retainer material is 2024-T851 aluminum alloy or equivalent, anodized with dichromate seal and solid film lubricated.
5. Coupling assembly weights shown in table below do not include bonding springs, flanges and seals.

Ordering Information

1. Coupling assembly 11J03-1-(SIZE) consists of: 11C03-(SIZE) Coupler, 11N03-(SIZE) Nut Assembly 11R03-(SIZE) Retainer.
2. Following items should be ordered separately.
   Example:
   SP037-(SIZE) Bonding spring (1 req'd.) 11F13-(SIZE) Flange (2 req'd.) and O-ring seal (2 req'd.)
   
   O-ring seals are not supplied by Hydraflow.

Installation Instructions

1. When coupling is ready to be assembled, install both seals and lubricate lightly both seal O.D. and the coupler I.D. Slide coupler over both flanges until firm contact is established between chamfered shoulder on retainer I.D. and the spherical surface on flange O.D.
2. Tighten nut until it contacts spherical surface on flange O.D.
3. No nut threads should be exposed with coupling in fully extended position.
